Icelandic Pianist Making 'The Dream' a Reality

Icelandic jazz pianist releases a new album with Kickstarter.com

The Icelandic pianist Sunna Gunnlaugs is releasing a new album called 'The Dream' and she would like for you to be a part of it.

The recording is due out on June 17th, but you can secure an advance copy... and more by participating in the release on Kickstarter. You have until June 10th to become a "backer" and help reach her $2,500.00 goal. If the goal is not met the project won't receive any funding, and nobody gets their advance copy, iPod Nano, Photo-tour diary, t-shirt, etc. It could go either way, but please come be a part of this project and give it a happy ending for all involved.

Musically, 'The Dream' is both a departure and continuation for Gunnlaugs, who reaffirms her melodic/harmonic concept while gracefully veering off into free improvisation. The quartet with saxophonist Loren Stillman, bassist Eivind Opsvik and myself on drums can be seen here performing the title track a few days before the recording session:
