Provincetown Jazz Festival

The 7th Annual Provincetown Jazz Festival will be held on August 12, 13, & 15, 2011. On August 12 & 13 the festival will be held at the beautifully renovated Provincetown Town Hall in Provincetown, Massachusetts on Cape Cod. On August 15, 2011, at the Cotuit Center for the Arts on Cape Cod, the Provincetown Jazz Festival comes to Cotuit! The following is the schedule for the festival:

Friday, August 12, 8:00pm, Provincetown Town Hall

• ADRIENNE & JOSH HINDMARSH - Opening the concert will be Adrienne Hindmarsh on organ and vocals & Josh Hindmarsh on guitar. These talented musicians are from New Zealand and have recently relocated to New York City. Adrienne & Josh are making their Provincetown debut and Adrienne will be the first jazz organist to appear at the festival. They will be accompanied by Bart Weisman on drums. 

"Adrienne has a groove on the organ that I really enjoy, and she sings beautifully, I'm a fan." -Joey Defrancesco, world renowned jazz organist.

• STRING OF PEARLS - The amazing vocalists HOLLI ROSS, SUE HALLORAN and JEANNE O'CONNOR return to the festival with a range of material including the Andrews Sisters, bebop, original arrangements with a Brazilian flavor, 1960s girl group sounds, and much more. People are still talking about their last appearance at the festival. They will be accompanied by Fred Boyle on piano, Laird Boles on bass and Bart Weisman on drums.

Saturday, August 13, 8:00pm, Provincetown Town Hall

• DANE VANNATTER - Opening the concert will be festival favorite Dane Vannatter. This extremely gifted Boston-based jazz vocalist will be accompanied by Fred Boyle on piano, Laird Boles on bass and Bart Weisman on drums.

• STAGE DOOR CANTEEN - Stage Door Canteen is a 14-piece big band led by Roger Gamache on sax. They are making their Provincetown debut and are only the second big band to appear at the festival. Stage Door Canteen has performed all over the East Coast & beyond, and in Ireland (UK). They bring high style, elegance, and unbridled energy every time they perform. 







Monday, August 15, 8:00pm, Cotuit Center for the Arts

• BRUCE ABBOTT - Opening the concert will be Cape Cod's own Bruce Abbott on sax and flute. He will also accompany Holli Ross & Dane Vannatter. 



• HOLLI ROSS - Vocalist Holli Ross, from String of Pearls, will be making her solo debut at the festival and has just released a new CD.



• DANE VANNATTER - Vocalists Dane Vannatter & Holli Ross will be accompanied by Fred Boyle on piano, Laird Boles on bass and Bart Weisman on drums.


Tickets are $25.00 per concert and can purchased without service fees.

The Provincetown Jazz Festival is a 501(c)(3) Tax-Exempt Non-Profit Organization.
