U.S. Navy Band Commodores Jazz Ensemble Performance
(Published: March 09, 2011)

The U.S. Navy Band Commodores Jazz Ensemble will perform at the Harris Theatre located on the campus of George Mason University in Fairfax, Va. on March 18, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. Featured soloists for this concert will be Commodore trumpeter Musician 1st Class Justin Kisor and his brother, New York based jazz artist, trumpet player, Ryan Kisor. Both world-class trumpet instrumentalists, this will be an exciting event to hear both brothers onstage.

This concert is in conjunction with the 2011 National Trumpet Competition being held at GMU.

The Commodores were created in 1969 and have been serving up their own hot blend of big band jazz ever since. In addition to amazing musicianship and inspiring jazz vocal stylings, much of the band's repertoire is arranged or composed by the band members.

Come out and hear why the U.S. Navy Band Commodores Jazz Ensemble has been called "A National Treasure." You will leave the concert a fan.
