New Age Piano Lessons? Online Course Helps Adults Get Creative
It used to be all the rage. The genre known as "New Age" hit its peak in the mid 1980's. But, it's slowly making a comeback, thanks in no small part to the piano lessons given by pianist/composer Edward Weiss.
Weiss runs a website that promises to teach anyone how to improvise and create New Age piano music. And with over 1000 subscribers and growing, it seems he's doing just that.
When asked about why he teaches New Age piano, Weiss has this to say:
"I was looking for an approach that would allow anyone to simply sit down at the piano and play what they feel. The New Age style offers is unique in that you don't need to spend years and years learning theory. Just a few chords and students are off exploring on their own."
The online piano course now has over 100 lessons and comes with a free workbook. It has also endorsed by Grammy nominated pianist David Lanz - a well know fixture in the New Age music community.
Those who wish to sign up for the course can do so for just $19 and take a month to examine, explore and experiment with the system. Individuals who want to learn more can continue their lessons on a monthly basis. Anyone who decides not to pursue their musical endeavors can cancel and owe nothing more. Students who sign up now will also receive Weiss's book, "New Age Piano Made Easy."
Weiss is currently offering a free piano lesson "Summer Morning" and a free 342 page book "Free to be Creative at the Piano" at his website http://www.NewAgePianoLes...
