Free Live Jazz Concerts Feature Big Names

Hollywood & Highland Center's Summer Wine & Jazz Concert Series kicks off its 2007 schedule with prominent jazz performers and fine wine. Sponsored by kjazz 88.1 fm, the Wine & Jazz Concert Series takes place in the Central Courtyard (Level 2), every Tuesday evening, June 5 to September 4 from 7pm to 9pm.

Pete Escovedo's Latin Jazz Orchestra opens the series, which will also feature Tom Scott, Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band, the Joey Defrancesco Trio, and many other renowned jazz musicians performing live under the stars. Guests will enjoy fine wines while nibbling on an assortment of cheeses, fruits and breads prepared by Wolfgang Puck Catering. Entertainment is FREE. Wine tasting is $10.00. All proceeds from the wine bar will directly benefit Project Angel Food (www.angelfood.org), an organization whose mission is to deliver free and nutritious meals to men, women and children affected by HIV/AIDS and other serious illness.
