The Westchester Jazz Festival is proud to bring such an amazing festival this year Saturday July 7th at Croton Point Park, Croton on Hudson with the national touring ensemble Jazz Attack featuring Rick Braun, Richard Elliot, and Peter White. This combines an eclectic mix smooth jazz crème, each with their own unique and compelling style, working together, along with an all-star keyboard player and rhythm section, to bring audiences an explosive and entertaining musical experience.
Trumpeter extraordinaire, Rick Braun, one of contemporary jazz’s most acclaimed and innovative artists, is at the top of his game lately as a composer/arranger/producer and record label co-owner. Rick’s busy schedule, however, has not taken away from his charismatic and thoroughly entertaining live shows. His latest CD, Yours Truly, draws from his diverse musical tastes and boasts clever, engaging arrangements to rebirth tunes you know by heart on his ARTizen Music Group label.
Richard Elliot’s sax brings to jazz Attack his unique and compelling grooves as only Elliot can. Since the 1980’s, Elliot has been among the top saxophonists with his easily accessible, groove-oriented style that combines elements of jazz, pop and R&B, Elliot loves to perform live, and has a singular talent for enthralling audiences with his powerful, no-holds-barred playing and seemingly inexhaustible on-stage energy. Metro Blue is Elliot’s’ latest release on his co-owned ARTizen Music GROUP LABEL with Braun.
Guitarist, Peter White, brings his uniquely engaging style to the jazz Attack band. Although White is often recognized for his adept skills as a guitarist, he firmly believes in the importance of presenting great song along with great musicianship. Over the past 16 years, Peter White has kept thousands of smooth jazz fans world wide enthralled by his spirited melodies, soulful grooves and inviting, instantly recognizable acoustic guitar tone. Playin’ Favorite on Columbia Jazz marks White’s tenth solo release.
