On Friday, January 13th 2012, Grafitti comes together after almost 20 years for a mulit-city Westcoast and US Tour to celebrate a "Reunion of Masters" live at LA's own "Baked Potato" in Studio City. Baked Potato is located at 3787 Cahuenga Blvd West. Studio City, CA 91604. Doors open at 7:00pm. Two shows at 9:30pm and 11:30pm. $30.00 admission RSVP to http://www.thebakedpotato... or call Tel: (818) 980-1615.
Grafitti initiated and led by bandleader, producer, Norweigen keyboardist Haakon Graf who heard Chambers and Grainger at the Copenhagen Jazz Festival in 1988... The group is a quartet, which features top notch veterans, and a newby on music scene today. Santana's and original P-Funk drummer Dennis Chambers, bassist Gary Grainger (John Scofield), extremely versatile and talented young French guitarist U-Nam, and the man behind it all keyboardist "Haakon Graf", who is referred to as the white "Herbie Hancock" will be performing some of the best Jazz fusion on this planet. Their music is a perfect blend of Funk, Jazz, Nu-Jazz, and Latin, and " Graf behind the keys is worth the ticket price alone". They will be performing at venues such as Jazz Alley in Seattle, Kuumbwas in Santa Cruz, Temecula, Long Beach, and Baked Potato in Los Angeles among others. The re-release of their 1988 album, Grafitti, is now available digitally at CDBaby.com or http://www.myspace.com/hg....
