Cliff Korman in Brasil

Pianist Cliff Korman is in Brasil to perform and complete a few projects that have been on hold in the past year:
-- a series of concerts with long-time partner Paulo Moura.Their recent Brazilian release "Gafiera Jazz" makes available recordings from their duo CD "Mood Ingênuo" (Jazzheads 1999) and "Gafiera Dance Brasil" (independent).
Cliff and Paulo are preparing a new recording.
--a recording with Henrique Cazes (cavaquinho), which will feature original works and arrangements of works of Jobim, Radamés Gnattali, and Pixinguinha
--further research into improvisation in choro
--work on large ensemble pieces to complete his doctoral projects for the Manhattan School of Music
Cliff expects to return to NY in late August.
