Hailed by <i>AllAboutJazz.com as a "propulsive bandleader [who] guides the listeners and the players on a most seductive journey," Michele Rosewoman has made her mark in the jazz world by fusing Afro-Cuban influences with intelligent and modern post-bop. Throughout her varied career, Michele has performed with such jazz luminaries as Jimmy Heath, Julian Priester, Gary Bartz, Freddie Waits, Tootie Heath, Oliver Lake, Reggie Workman and with Celia Cruz, Paquito D'Rivera, Chocolate, Pedrito Martinez, Greg Osby, Steve Coleman, Miguel Zenon, Gary Thomas, and Orlando "Puntilla" Rios. As a bandleader, she has led ensembles including Quintessence and New Yor-Uba to tremendous critical success.
Ms Rosewoman's highly acclaimed trio recordings include Occasion to Rise (with Rufus Reid and Ralph Peterson) - voted one of the year's best recordings by six critics' polls, and Spirit, a live trio performance at the Montreal Jazz Festival, released on Blue Note Records to rave reviews.
A dedicated educator, for more than 15 years Rosewoman has taught young musicians in Montclair and she - along with the other members of the trio - serves as a faculty member of the Jazz House Kids Summer Jazz Workshop.

Having performed for more than twenty-five years throughout the world, bassist Andy McKee has learned from and collaborated with legendary artists including Philly Joe Jones, Mal Waldron, Elvin Jones, and Michel Petrucciani. The associate musical director of the Mingus Big Band and the Mingus Dynasty from 1992 to 2003, McKee now serves in the collaborative effort All @ Once -- with tabla master Badal Roy -- and recently worked with the venerable Vanguard Jazz Orchestra.
One of jazz's most esteemed artists, drummer Billy Hart has helped to shape modern jazz drumming through appearances on nearly 500 recordings and through collaborations with ensembles including the Herbie Hancock Sextet and Quest and with such soloists as McCoy Tyner, Pharoah Sanders, and Wes Montgomery. A dedicated educator, Hart teaches extensively at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and serves as an adjunct faculty member at both the New England Conservatory of Music and Western Michigan University.
