Who/What:
Taj Mahal has travelled the globe for decades representing the blues genre. His life has been a 50 year journey to take the blues to every corner of the world while absorbing different cultures into his music along the way. As The New Yorker states, he is "the genuine article, a questing artist who successfully melds world music strains within the foundation of American rural blues." Taj returns to Jazz at Lincoln Center again this year, this time with The Phantom Blues Band.

Thursday and Friday, April 19-20, 2012, 7:30pm & 9:30pm

The Allen Room at Frederick P. Rose Hall, home of Jazz at Lincoln Center, Broadway at 60th Street, New York, New York.
Tickets:
Ticket prices are $55 & $65, dependent on performance time.
All other tickets can be purchased through jalc.org or CenterCharge at 212-721-6500, open daily from 10am to 9pm. Tickets can also be purchased at the Jazz at Lincoln Center Box Office, located on Broadway at 60th Street, ground floor. Box Office hours: Monday-Saturday from 10am to 6pm (or 30 minutes past curtain) and Sunday from noon to 6pm (or 30 minutes past curtain.)
