Taj Mahal & The Phantom Blues Band
April 19-20 - The Allen Room
Taj Mahal has travelled the globe for decades representing the blues genre. His life has been a 50 year journey to take the blues to every corner of the world while absorbing different cultures into his music along the way. As The New Yorker states, he is "the genuine article, a questing artist who successfully melds world music strains within the foundation of American rural blues." Taj returns to Jazz at Lincoln Center again this year, this time with The Phantom Blues Band.
