Jazz Pianist Ayako Shirasaki: Japan Tour Dates: April 2012
Ayako Shirasaki presents her newest CD Falling Leaves-Live in Hamburg to her home audience all over Japan in April 2012.
Falling Leaves really garnered the attention of the media:
"Shirasaki is the complete package, possessing commanding technique that comes from a classical foundation but works in complete service of jazz, and she marries her heart and head with her hands throughout Falling Leaves-Live In Hamburg." --Dan Bilawsky, All About Jazz
"Shirasaki demonstrates substantial range... excellent concert..." -Don Lerman, Cadence
"Shirasaki's flawless navigation of Sonny Rollin's arduous "Airegin" is an attention grabber," -Mark Holston, JAZZIZ
The now New York, USA based Ayako Shirasaki is not moving back to Japan full time, as hoped for the fans by the Japan Times, but playing a tour giving the fans "improvisation at the highest level" as lately being put by a German Jazz Magazine.
