The Bob Frye Band is introducing a new jazz-fusion sound to Los Angeles audiences. Bob's new jazz arrangements are familiar but at the same time unique and often surprising. The band's song list includes the classics we all love mixed in with original compositions.
Bob Frye founded San Diego's jazz-fusion group Purl and has appeared in concert with Jeff Lorber, Lee Ritenour, Airto & Floria Purim, Larry Carlton, Stephane Grappelli, Jaco Pastorious, and others. His new group is a quartet; the members are Bob, keyboards, Rich Gascoigne, bass, Doug Mattingly, guitar, and Chuck Standish, drums. When you put these four musical virtuosos together, you have an exciting new kind of fusion.
