Two Grammy® Nominees and a Rising Pittsburgh Talent Perform for Valentine's Day Concert on Feb 12, 2013
To celebrate Valentine's Day, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust is proud to present "Love 3 Ways" featuring internationally acclaimed and Grammy® nominated jazz artists; Sean Jones and Gregory Porter performing together for the first time in concert with ascending songstress Carolyn Perteete for two shows only on Thursday, February 12, 2013 at the Cabaret Theater.
In honor of the American love song, the theme of the evening is "Love 3 Ways." A stellar line-up of musicians will accompany the three interpreters of song: Orrin Evans on piano; Obed Calvaire on drums; and Luques Curtis on bass. "The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust is keeping the love of jazz alive again this year with the wonderful vocalists; Gregory Porter and Carolyn Perteete, alongside one of the hottest jazz groups in the world, the Sean Jones Quartet," says Janis Burley-Wilson, Vice President of Education and Community Engagement/Jazz Programs. "With multiple Grammy® nods, accolades from around the globe and incredible chemistry between the artists, this year's Valentine Day concert will prove to be the best ever."
The evening will illuminate love and the diversity of music in genres of music from R&B to jazz, from folk to pop. The two performances will be held at the Cabaret Theater, February 12, 2013 at 7:30 and 9:30 PM.
"Love 3 Ways" is sponsored by BNY Mellon and the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. Tickets are $35.00. The Cabaret Theater is located on the corner of 7th St and Penn Avenue.
