(Published: November 13, 2007)

Jazz writer Joe Montague takes time to interview emerging jazz artist Mark Rapp for JazzPolice.com. Montague writes, "Perhaps more than anyone else among today's trumpeters, Rapp is breaking down the age-old paradigms as to how the trumpet ought to be played in a jazz environment."

Mark Rapp is a young talented trumpet player raised in SC, trained in New Orleans and lives in NYC. Mark's debut record will be mastered by Senior Mastering Engineer Greg Calbi at Sterling Sound. It's produced by Grammy Award winner Jason Olaine and mixed by hip-hop engineer (The Roots, Beyonce) Robert "LB" Dorsey.
