THE 2013 ISRAELI JAZZ MUSICIAN FESTIVAL, PRESENTED BY NOHO MEDIA GROUP IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE AMERICA-ISRAEL CULTURAL FOUNDATION, WILL FEATURE AN ENSEMBLE OF NOTABLE ISRAEL-BORN JAZZ MUSICIANS
(Published: April 23, 2013)

Music and Multi-Media Event Will Take Place May 12 through May 14 in Manhattan and Brooklyn

New York City is the "jazz capital of the world," a fact that is enhanced, to a large extent, by the constant influx of astounding talent from across the globe. Among the many jazz musicians who have come to NYC to ply their trade are a considerable contingent of players from Israel, including Roni Ben-Hur and Oran Etkin - just two of the talented players who will perform at the 2013 Israeli Jazz Musician (IJM) Festival. The (IJM) Festival will take place from May 12 to 14 and is being presented by the NOHO Media Group, in association with the America-Israel Cultural Foundation (AICF).

The IJM Festival will be held at two separate venues in two boroughs: on May 12 in Manhattan, at The New School's Tishman Auditorium, and on May 13 and 14 in Brooklyn, at the Brooklyn Museum's Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Auditorium.

The musicians currently scheduled to perform are guitarists Roni Ben-Hur, Yotam Silberstein, and Assaf Kehati, pianist Shai Maestro, flutist Itai Kriss, bassist Haggai Cohen Milo, clarinetist Oran Etkin, trombonist Rafi Malkiel, saxophonist Sagit Zilerman, and drummer Ziv Ravitz . The musicians will perform in various configurations throughout the three shows, on jazz standards as well as on their own original compositions.

The Festival will be broadcast live online and available for viewing on most cable and satellite systems in the US.

Tickets for the Festival are $20 per day, with $10 tickets available for students with a valid ID. Complimentary tickets will also be available for veterans and for various non-profits. Email ijmfestival@gmail.com for specific ticketing information.
