Arts for Art is excited to announce the first Latin Free Jazz Festival. This new program is meant to challenge the reductive "Latin Jazz" label by using it as a programming premise, and proving it insufficient through the diversity of voices and approaches.
The featured artists are representative of Mexico, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Africa & Spain. But most of all they represent themselves. They play music that they hear inside which goes far beyond national borders.

Featuring (full lineups TBA):
11/22: Angelica Sanchez & Omar Tamez duo / Abraham Gomez-Delgado & Taylor Ho Bynum duo / Michelle Rosewoman New Yor-Uba
11/23: Juan Quinonez's Prize of Freedom / Román Filiú septet / Francisco Mora-Catlett sextet.
