MARC HOFFMAN TO PERFORM AT RITZ-CARLTON CHARLOTTE

Jazz pianist/vocalist returns to Charlotte
October 23, 2013 (Charlotte, NC) - Jazz pianist vocalist Marc Hoffman will perform this Friday, October 25, 2013 at Urban Sip in the Ritz-Carlton in Charlotte, NC. Joining Marc will be special guest, vocalist Dawn Anthony
Hoffman is well known throughout the Southeast US, having appeared at clubs, arenas, and other venues. Marc also performs nationally and internationally for music festivals and other events, and has entertained crowds at the North Charleston Coliseum in Charleston SC; Speedway Motorsports Inc. and the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center, both in Charlotte; the Annual Old Town Blues & Jazz Festival in Rock Hill, SC; and outside the US in the UK and The Netherlands.

Marc's recent Southeast performances include Ashe Civic Center in W. Jefferson, NC, and an invitation-only concert in Charleston, SC. He is currently at work scoring an animated feature written by legendary animator Tom Ray. An original jazz instrumental CD, "Curioso" was released in 2010. Recent film work includes the score for "40 Fears" for Charlotte-based Dalliance Films. Previous film work includes the score for, "The Mill" and acting as Music Supervisor for several films. He was music historian for the film "Revolution". Also an author, Marc's Essential Worship Keyboard is published by Emerald Books and picture book, Sleep, Little Child by Virillion Music Publishing.

About Marc Hoffman:
Marc Hoffman received a degree in composition from the North Carolina School of the Arts and studied film composition at Univ. of Southern California. He also attended The Dartington International Summer School of Music in Devon, England. His composition teachers included John Corigliano, Leo Arnaud, Neil Hefti, and Sherwood Shaffer. A member of BMI and the American Composer's Forum, he is also founder and artistic director of the Salisbury School of Music. Marc lives in Salisbury, NC with is wife, Anne, and their daughter August.
