Cynthia Basinet Crosses Over With Her Upcoming Single, "Eventually"
(Published: January 07, 2014)

Los Angeles - With her gorgeous voice a part of our modern Christmas heritage for over a decade, the actress.singer Cynthia Basinet releases a new single, "Eventually".

For over a decade, Cynthia is best known for her sultry and playful iconic rendition of "Santa Baby", oft miscredited to Marilyn Monroe.

"Eventually", will be available on iTunes and Amazon.

Cynthia can be found on the web at: http://www.cynthiabasinet.com and she updates her Twitter at https://twitter.com/cynthiabasinet.

About Cynthia Basinet:
Cynthia Basinet (who is often called "C" by her friends) has had a colorful and successful life in several fields, and she is just getting started. She is an exquisite and glamorous singer with a highly expressive voice and a real feel for American standards.

"I was raised on jazz," says Ms. Basinet. "My Dad used to play records by Ella, John Coltrane and many others. In fact, my mother has said that I heard jazz while still in my womb." Born in the San Fernando Valley, she was raised in the Silicon Valley near San Francisco. Classically trained on flute and saxophone (playing first chair in her school bands), she also sang opera while loving the American popular songbook.

Her iconic version of "Santa Baby" has become a classic influencing nearly ever version since it's release via the MP3 revolution in '99. She was one of the first artists to launch independently via the Internet with the release of "Santa Baby" originally recorded for $300 as a gift, for love, Jack Nicholson in '97.

Despited being raised as a musician, the single mom modeled in Europe for several years before returning to the US where she has appeared in over 100+ films and commercials.

In 2001, Cynthia used this visibility to raise awareness for refugees she visited in the Western Sahara. She was later nominated for a shared Nobel Peace Prize in 2005.

2003, saw her "Santa Baby" in the "Party Monster" soundtrack.

Just recently CBS reaired their NCIS LA Holiday Episode with her song as the closure.

She continues dividing her time between New York and Los Angeles, addressing the UN, recording, writing and more acting.
