2014 Jazz Fest poster celebrates legacy of Preservation Hall
(Published: February 04, 2014)

Organizers of the 2014 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival have unveiled their 2014 poster, which celebrates Preservation Hall and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band.

The festival describes Preservation Hall as "a venue for jazz pioneers" founded in 1961 by Allan Jaffe that reinvigorated a tradition, "ultimately creating a self-renewing trans-generational hand-off to new masters and devotees that continues today."

The silk-screened print is the work of artist Terrance Osborne. It is available in a variety of limited-edition formats, with prices ranging from $69 to $895. The poster can be pre-ordered through www.art4now.com.

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival takes place April 25-27 and May 1-4 at the Fair Grounds Race Course in New Orleans. Top acts include Eric Clapton, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, Phish, Arcade Fire, Santana, Christina Aguilera, Robin Thicke and many more. Advance single-day tickets are $55, increasing to $70 per day at the gate. Children's tickets (ages 2 - 10) are $5 and are available at the gate only. VIP packages also are offered. Tickets are available at www.nojazzfest.com and www.ticketmaster.com, at all Ticketmaster outlets or by calling 800-745-3000
