SAL MOSCA QUARTET

Blue Jack Jazz (http://www.bluejackjazz.c...) of the Netherlands has just released a CD by the late teacher and pianist - Sal Mosca (April 2008) SAL MOSCA QUARTET -You go to my head - BJR046. The music on this CD is from two sessions that took place at Mosca's home in Mt. Vernon featuring Jimmy Halperin on Tenor, Don Messina - Bass, and Bill Chattin on Drums. Mosca had regular sessions at his various studios since the 1960s - this quartet was one of many that sessioned at Sal's place every Saturday afternoon since 2001. The Tunes include standards and lines by Bird, Lee Konitz, and Warne Marsh. Sal Mosca died in July 2007 at the age of 80. More information at http://www.salmosca.com
