KCC Productions presents Kiki Sanchez' Salsa Jazz Project September 24.
(Published: September 17, 2014)

Kiki Sanchez' Salsa Jazz Project will be the featured music at Miami Beach's monthly Food Truck and Music Festival September 24 at the North Shore Bandshell, 7275 Collins Avenue, from 6 to 9 PM. The festival is free for all ages.

Sanchez was born and raised in Lima, Peru, where he started playing the piano professionally at the age of 11.

In Miami, Kiki is an active producer, arranger, studio musician and performer.

One of Sanchez' dreams is to share all his years of experience, research and discovery of Latin Music with other musicians. Sanchez, together with the music producer Kimberly Chmura, had the wonderful idea to produce this video that would expose and teach the basics of Latin music to other musicians.

Sanchez' vision is to expand your musical abilities and have a better understanding about how to play several Latin rhythms on the piano. These not only will help you with your piano abilities, but will enrich your musical knowledge as a producer, arranger and musician. In this video Kiki introduces a rhythm from his native Peru called The Peruvian Festejo.

As an educator Kiki has been working with Dr. Donna Goldstein on the Latin American Live musical journey, teaching the music and the different cultures of Latin America in several public schools and colleges in the South Florida area.

One of his latest projects is the Salsa Jazz Project, combining jazz with the heat and passion of salsa.
