11th Annual Provincetown Jazz Festival

The 11th Annual 2015 Provincetown Jazz Festival will be held on August 13, 7:00pm at The Crown & Anchor in Provincetown and on August 17, 7:30pm at the Cotuit Center for the Arts, both located on Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
For 10 years the Provincetown Jazz Festival has presented jazz musicians from the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Europe, and New Zealand. This year we will feature:
• Kate McGarry is making her debut at the festival and is a Grammy nominated jazz vocalist from North Carolina, originally from Cape Cod. She will be accompanied by guitarist Keith Ganz who is also making his debut at the festival.
• Fabiano de Castro is a jazz pianist & composer from São Paulo, Brazil and is the first South American jazz musician to appear at the festival. Fabiano will be accompanied by Mark Greel on trumpet from Boston who is making his festival debut, Bruce Abbott on sax & flute, Ron Ormsby on bass, and Bart Weisman on drums.
• Tish Adams is making her festival debut and is a jazz vocalist and jazz radio deejay who lives in Providence, Rhode Island.
• Returning are festival favorites Dane Vannatter, vocalist from Pittsburgh, PA and Cape Cod Jazz Quintet: Steve Ahern on trumpet & flute, Bruce Abbott on sax & flute, Fred Boyle on piano, Ron Ormsby on bass, and Bart Weisman on drums.
Provincetown Jazz Festival Schedule:
• Thursday, August 13, 7:00pm: The Crown & Anchor, 247 Commercial Street, Provincetown: Dane Vannatter (vocals), Tish Adams (vocals), and Cape Cod Jazz Quintet with Steve Ahern (trumpet & flute), Bruce Abbott (sax & flute), Fred Boyle (piano), Ron Ormsby (bass), and Bart Weisman (drums).
• Monday, August 17, 7:30pm: Cotuit Center for the Arts, 4404 Route 28, Cotuit: Kate McGarry (vocals) & Keith Gantz (guitar) and Fabiano de Castro (piano) with Mark Greel (trumpet), Bruce Abbott (sax & flute), Ron Ormsby (bass), and Bart Weisman (drums). The emcee will be Mindy Todd from WCAI The Cape and Islands NPR Station.
Tickets are $30.00 per concert and a portion of the proceeds from the festival are donated to worthy causes.
