USDAN SUNDAY 3/15 FREE OPEN HOUSE; FULL JAZZ PROGRAM

Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts (www.usdan.com), the nationally acclaimed summer arts day camp whose alumni include Jane Monheit, announces a free Open House on Sunday March 15 from 11 AM to 2PM. Usdan's Jazz Department, founded in 1986 by Dr. Billy Taylor,features a full program of study and performance. There are also guest performances and master classes by distinguished artists, including Jimmy Heath, Arturo O'Farrill and Bobby Watson. Also, Usdan's dance department features new classes in jazz and combined styles.

Usdan Center is at 185 Colonial Springs Road, Wheatley Heights. Directions to the center are at www.usdan.com. Children ages 6-18 from NYC and throughout the Tri-State Area annual attend, transported by air-conditioned buses. About one-third are on scholarship. ###
