Looking To The Light, New Release for the New Year
(Published: December 19, 2008)

Indigo Dream Music releases a new single, Looking To The Light, an original song by Sylvia Winsby. Glowing jazz harmonies warm up the winter holiday season in this duo recording featuring Murray Low, Grammy nominated pianist, with Sylvia's heartfelt vocal. Their sound feels like a private concert in your living room, setting a mellow tone for gatherings or moments of meditative solitude. It's the perfect soundtrack to inspire positive reflection for the coming new year.

Available in limited edition single cd, or mp3 download, through CD Baby-

Looking To The Light will be a welcome addition to holiday music collections. The nondenominational message of the song embraces the sentiment of fond memories and good will. A perfect gift for everyone, its mix of jazz-spiced harmony with timely lyric may well become a new favorite.

A Suggested Artist award recipient in the 2007 Song Of The Year competition, Sylvia also received a Semi-Finalist award in the 2008 100% Music Songwriting Contest. Residing in the Monterey Bay Area, CA, the natural beauty of the region provides inspiration for her compositions. Sylvia has performed in local and SF bay area venues, including Cayuga Vault, Kuumbwa Jazz Center, and Valley Center for the Performing Arts. Jazz vocalist and 6 time Grammy nominee, Mark Murphy, commented on Sylvia's sound - It is so seldom you hear someone sing with vulnerability... in Sylvia, I hear a lovely innocence- it's wonderful... Radio jazz hosts, Alan Mertens and Eddie Hudson, KUSP 88.9 fm, have broadcast her music. Hudson announced, Sylvia is very talented...she did a great job on this CD (Shades of Green in Blue, 4/07).
