GORDON EDWARDS FRIENDS OF STUFF Every Wednesday at Creole, NYC
(Published: April 30, 2009)

NEW YORK - Creole Restaurant and Music Supper Club proudly presents Gordon Edwards Friends of Stuff Every Wednesday at 8:00 and 10:00 PM at Creole, 2167 Third Avenue, Corner of 118th Street, NY, NY 10035.

Grammy Nominee, Platinum Award-Winner Gordon Edwards, the bassist and leader of Stuff - the mid-70's musical phenomenon featuring the best session players in the business - is currently holding court every Wednesday night at Creole in East Harlem - with a band featuring some of today's best studio musicians including: Saturday Night Live saxophonist Alex Foster; drummer Wally 'Gator' Watson; Guitarist Mick Gaffney; pianist James Allen Smith; bassist and vocalist Roy Bennett, and vocalists BJ Hanshaw-Smith and Beverly Crosby. All have played on recordings by everyone from Aretha Franklin to Steve Wonder to Marvin Gaye. Great music. Special surprise guests sitting in every Wednesday night.

Creole (www.creolenyc.com) is known for its quality food and music and for bringing Jazz & R&B back uptown. Located in the heart of East Harlem, its ambiance is reminiscent of the nostalgic early jazz supper clubs that spawned the careers of countless jazz and blues artists who went on to make history. At Creole, one is immediately comforted by warmth and hospitality, as well as international cuisine, which features dishes such as blackened spice catfish, sweet potato beignets, and 20 variations of classic gumbo. Proprietor Kevin Walters prides himself on this unique environment that marries art, music, culture, entertainment, food and a sense of community in one location.

Please join us for this special engagement - to see and hear Gordon Edwards in performance.

Tickets available at the door. $7.00 Cover. For reservations call: 212-876-8838.
