6th Annual Jazz Foundation of America
A GREAT NIGHT IN HARLEM
Apollo Theater, NYC
"This is the greatest concert I've been to in 20 years... it's straight from the heart. The Jazz Foundation is saving so many musicians in crisis." --Elvis Costello
This year's concert will be a "History of the Music." Never before done at the Apollo. Proceeds will support the Jazz Foundation of America's Musicians' Emergency Fund, which for 17 years has provided older jazz and blues musicians with rent, pro bono medical care and social services.
Since Katrina, we've assisted over 2,553 emergency cases with housing, mortgage payments, rent, instruments and a one million dollar employment program - putting hundreds of New Orleans musicians back to work teaching, performing concerts in schools and nursing homes in 8 states where they've been forced to settle.
They spend their lives making us rich with their music. Now they need us.
Helping to save America's National Treasures... One musician at a time. For tickets call: 212-245-3999 Ext. 30
