IT WAS JUG THAT I DUG AUTHOR AL CARTER-BEY ON SUNDAY NIGHT JAZZ WITH LARRY RENI THOMAS WCOM-FM DECEMBER 20, 2015 (Published: December 16, 2015)

Chicago radio host Al Carter-Bey, the author of the recently published book, IT Was Jug That I Dug (KHA Books), will be interviewed on "Sunday Night Jazz With Larry Reni Thomas," December 20, 2015, 9:30 pm (EST) on WCOM-FM, Chapel Hill-Carrboro, North Carolina. Carter-Bey will talk about his book which is based on the life of Chicago-born, saxophone legend Gene "Jug" Ammons, and about his personal experience following Ammons' career. Al, known as the "Jazz Impresario," was a childhood friend of Ammons. Carter will also talk about how his book is a history of the Chicago music scene.
Mr. Carter-Bey, the host of a very popular Sunday program on WHPK-FM. Chicago, is respected as a very knowledgeable and well-versed personality. He is also noted as one who calls the music "American Classical Music" instead of jazz.
