World Vocalist Allison Adams Tucker Live at HPR's Atherton Performing Arts Studio March 12
(Published: February 16, 2016)

On Saturday, March 12, 2016 7:30PM international touring artist and multi-lingual vocalist Allison Adams Tucker returns to Honolulu for an intimate evening of jazz and stories from around the world at Hawaii Public Radio's Atherton Performing Arts Studio.

Described as "one thrush who knows how to swing" (Midwest Record) with a voice "lustrous in any language" (The Examiner), and "mesmerizing, whether in English, Japanese, French" (GirlSingers.org), Allison Adams Tucker creates a unique montage of jazz-driven melodies and rhythms in 6 languages. From Björk to Piazzolla, Jobim to Monk and beyond- "expect the unexpected" (Scott Yanow, LA Jazz Scene).

With past show highlights among the Blue Note NYC, Ronnie Scott's London, Le Baiser Sale Paris, Herb Alpert's Vibrato Los Angeles, and Body & Soul Tokyo, Allison performs regularly for audiences in Japan, Europe, Mexico, and around the US, and regards her annual concert with Hawaii Public Radio friends as a highlight she looks forward to year-round.

Allison is joined by pianist Tommy James and drummer/percussionist Von Baron. www.allisonadamstucker.com
