"The Latin Roots of Jazz" at SFJAZZ

SFJAZZ presents its annual 6-course summer series as part of our Koret Discover Jazz program. Taught by master drummer and local great, John Santos, the Latin Roots of Jazz blends lecture with historic audio and video, alongside live music performance.

Purchased individually or as a full course, this August 10 - September 14 series is hosted by the SF Museum of the African Diaspora (685 Mission St., San Francisco) in partnership with SFJAZZ and YBGF. Join us to learn more about how Latin American music and musicians have played fundamental and innovative roles in the history and evolution of jazz!
