Cynthia Basinet Attends House of Blues Music Forward Studios Opening Ceremony at Hollywood High School
(Published: October 20, 2016)

HOLLYWOOD - There was a lot more music coming from Hollywood yesterday as Music Forward Music Studio at historical Hollywood High School opened officially with the full red carpet treatment!

Volunteers from HOB's Music Forward and fellow musician supporter singer, activist Cynthia Basinet, attended the event said, "the music industry has a new voice". Cynthia best known for her iconic sultry hit, "Santa Baby" credits her success to music in the California public school system.

Artivist artists and LACER Afterschool Programs marching band performed at the ribbon cutting!

The 20 year effort first launched by House of Blues Music Forward in 1996, succeeded in conjunction with the help of students, parents, activists, faculty, volunteers, community programs, fellow musicians and other corportate sponsors.

In 2015, Hollywood High School's music recording studio still sat empty. Artivist Entertainment was inspired by a group of young songwriters and recording engineers whose voices had been silenced by a lack of funding for arts education.

A three day songwriting workshop has turned into a vibrant community partnership and a newly revived state-of-the-art music recording program where these passionate future artists can find their way.
