on Display through September 30 at WBGO Art Gallery

Meet the Artist at Reception on Thursday, September 7
Join WBGO Jazz 88.3 FM for a free gallery reception in celebration of the photography of Adriana Mateo on Thursday, September 7, 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the WBGO Art Gallery, 54 Park Place in Newark, NJ. View the exhibit, meet the artist and enjoy a live performance.
The photography of world renowned New York City-based jazz photographer Adriana Mateo will be on exhibit at WBGO through September 30.
The exhibit consists of 40 original prints from Mateo's book, AM JAZZ: Three Generations Under The Lens. The book depicts a compilation of three jazz generations of the most prolific jazz musicians, some of whom are sadly no longer with us. The elegant black & white photos feature Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Wynton Marsalis, Christian McBride, Roy Hargrove, Esperanza Spalding, Dave Brubeck, Dizzy Gillespie All Stars and more.
This is an opportunity to personally experience Mateo's work before the exhibit closes and heads to Europe. Limited signed copies of the book also will be available for purchase at WBGO.
The WBGO Gallery is free and open to the public. WBGO is a wheelchair accessible facility.
Art lovers also can visit the WBGO gallery during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. For more information, log on to www.wbgo.org.
