Tour de Force Entertainer and Activist, "Santa Baby" Cynthia Basinet Attends the Ebony Power 100 Gala

Tour de force entertainer and social change activist, Cynthia Basinet best known for her sultry style on her hit version of "Santa Baby" attended the Ebony Power 100 Gala in Beverly Hills, last Friday night at the Beverly Hilton.

The well-heeled red carpet and ballroom were ignited by movers and shakers in sports, entertainment, politics and business Magic Johnson, Sugar Ray Leonard, Laila Ali, Naturi Naughton, Tommy Davidson, diplomat Sid Williams were just a few of the of impactors.

Comedian Deon Cole hosted as the night honored Dwayne Johnson and Congresswoman Maxine Waters, whose impassioned speech could be felt by all in the cheering room.

The guests were serenaded by Willow Smith and brought to their feet with encores by hip hop greats, Bell Biv DeVoe.

The gala which honors greatness in the black community was co sponsored by Nationwide, Cadillac and Shea Moisture.

The LA native is best known for her jazzy pop stylings on her CD "The Standard" hits like, "The Christmas Song", "It's Only A Paper Moon", "Going Out Of My Head" and "Santa Baby" (recorded in 1997 for love Jack Nicholson, tribute to the original songstress, "Eartha Kitt" and later, often miscredited to Marilyn Monroe).

Cynthia's iconic version can be heard in soundtracks and has been embraced by artists and fans, worldwide for decades.
