Mojo Ike and Val Woods at Littman Theater February 17

The City of North Miami Beach and the North Miami Beach Multicultural Committee present "A Musical Journey through the Decades," a Mojo Ike and Val Woods presentation celebrating Black History Month. The FREE concert will be held 7:30 PM Saturday February 17 at the Littman Theater. Hear songs of Marvin Gaye, Etta James, Ray Charles, James Brown, Ben E. King, Stevie Wonder, and more.

This dynamic duo has performed throughout the United States, Europe and the Caribbean. The Ike and Val Woods Blues Band competed and won first place at the Monterey Blues Festivals' "Battle of the Bands". They have shared the stage with Buddy Guy, Gill Scott, Ramsey Lewis, KEM, Jerry Butler, Jeffrey Osborne, Bobby Blue Bland, the Whispers, Tommy Castro, Eddie Cotton Jr., Jonathan Butler, David Sanborne, Earl Klugh, Betty Wright, Nestor Torres, the Ruppingtons, Pancho Sanchez and the O'Jays.

The Littman Theater is located next to City Hall at 17011 NE 19th Ave. Tickets are free but required; pick them up at the Parks and Rec Dept. or at the door. Doors open at 6:30; there will be a cash bar. More info at 305-948-2957. Music courtesy of KCC Productions.
