New York City organist/pianist, Brian Charette, has established himself as a leading voice in modern Jazz. Charette is a Grammy®-nominated, Hammond-endorsed artist who was the winner of the 2014 Downbeat Critics' Poll Rising Star: Organ award and has climbed to 4th place in The Critic's Poll main organ category. In 2015 Brian also won The Hot House Magazine's Fan's Decision Jazz Award for Best Organist in New York. His last Positone Records recording, Once and Future, reached #17 on the Jazz Week chart and was also on the iTunes new music Top 20. This Summer, Brian just released his new Circuit Bent Organ trio recording, Kürrent, and featuring Ben Monder. Groovin' With Big G on Steeplechase Records release date is March 15. The CD features legendary saxophonist George Coleman, guitarist Vic Juris and drummer George Coleman Jr.

Besides being a critically acclaimed composer and bandleader, Brian has performed with many notable artists such as Joni Mitchell, Chaka Khan, Paul Simon, Cyndi Lauper, and many more. Most recently, Brian has worked with George Coleman and Allman Brother's Band Drummer, Jaimoe.

George Coleman has collaborated with Miles Davis ( Seven Steps To Heaven, My Funny Valentine), Herbie Hancock (Maiden Voyage), Ron Carter, B.B. King, Ray Charles, Lee Morgan, Kenny Burrell, Ahmad Jamal and many more. In 2015, he was named an NEA Jazz Master. George Coleman, Jr. takes the drum seat for this performance and the ever-exciting guitarist Vic Juris rounds out the May 21st Monday evening at The Blue Note NYC. Don't Miss It!

"Both B-3 stylist and student, serious jazz scholar and glitzy entertainer, Charette is a burning soloist who understands the tradition of the Hammond B-3 as well its future-just as certainly as he understands his place in that lineage."
-Ken Micallef, Downbeat Magazine
