Vocalist Melanie Bong delights with jazz and fusion sounds on new album
(Published: March 24, 2018)

Melanie Bong has just released her recent studio album, Gipsy Fire, a collection of songs that is sure to delight the senses with its blend of jazz and fusion sounds.

The first cut on this eclectic and dynamic album, which is actually the title track, has a romantic, flirtatious, and whimsical vibe, complete with Bong's signature vocal style. Her performance is sensual, yet powerful and direct. The artist's smooth and expressive voice is reminiscent of legendary artists such as Billie Holliday, Nina Simone, and Ella Fitzgerald, to name but a few.

"Your Are My Song" is a classic love ballad with expressive and atmospheric piano and unforgettable vocals. This cut really catches your attention and you can't help but fall in love with the stunning lyricism and intoxicating composition. "Gipsy Fire Ballad" is the most somber and introspective offering on the album, and the perfect finish to this beautiful record.

Gipsy Fire has a powerhouse team behind it, with Lulo Reinhardt on guitar, Tizian Jost on piano/organ, Eduardo ‘Dudu' Pens on bass/percussion, and Bastian Jütte on drums/percussion. All of these talented artists do an amazing job to highlight and support Bong's phenomenal and unique singing, which you will want to listen to over and over again.
