FANS RECEIVE 3 GRAMMY NOMINATIONS
(Published: December 09, 2009)

With the belief that the true value of music lies in an artist's individual creativity and the unique process that each artist uses to create their music, ArtistShare provides a unique atmosphere for musicians to prosper and grow. This year three ArtistShare fan-funded projects have received Grammy nominations:

The Clayton Brothers' album "Brother to Brother" received a nomination in the category Best Jazz Instrumental Album, Individual or Group.

Geoffrey Keezer's album "Aurea" received a nomination under Best Latin Jazz Album.

And Gerald Clayton's solo on "All of You" from the "Two-Shade" recording received a nomination for Best Improvised Jazz Solo.

Without the fan participation in each of these projects none of this would have been possible. A huge thanks goes out to those ArtistShare participants that made these recordings happen!

To find out more about the nominated musicians and their ArtistShare projects click on their names above. As well, to hear the nominated music visit our blog. And lastly, don't forget to tune in for the live Grammy awards show Sunday, January 31, 2010 on CBS.

ArtistShare was founded by CEO Brian Camelio in 2003. Since 2003, ArtistShare has been allowing fans to show appreciation for their favorite artists by funding their recording projects in exchange for access to the creative process, LTD Edition recordings, VIP access to recording sessions and even a credit listing on the CD. Since its inception ArtistShare fan-funded projects have received 14 Grammy Nominations and 4 Grammy Wins.
