Crooner Cynthia Basinet's Sultry "Santa Baby" Named Top 10 by Billboard Magazine
(Published: January 04, 2019)

Nobel nominated actress, activist and crooner Cynthia Basinet's hit "Santa Baby" joins the ranks of the song's original songstress Eartha Kitt to Kylie Minogue, Kellie Pickler including newcomers to the song Ariana Grande and Gwen Stefani. The Top 10 list includes artists who have released the song after Cynthia's infamous 1997 version recorded as a love song for actor, Jack Nicholson.

Cynthia's has been a fan favorite since launching via the Internet in 1999 leading to the phenomenon of the song's enduring popularity. Also appearing in soundtracks for "Party Monster" (2003) and CBS's "NCIS LA" (2012)

From Billboard Magazine:

"Cynthia Basinet

Funny enough, Cynthia Basinet's recording of "Santa Baby" has been mistaken time and again for being a cover by Marilyn Monroe. While this is not the case, Basinet's bluesy voice on this track will put anyone in the holiday spirit."

More on Cynthia:
A longtime tour-de-force activist on the front lines of social issues aspired to have a "voice for the voiceless" and intellectual property since childhood. Her kinship for displaced societies culminated in a visit to the Western Sahara in 2001 in efforts to raise awareness for the Saharwian refugees living in peaceful self-determination.
She was subsequently nominated for a shared Nobel Peace Prize as part of the "1000 PeaceWomen Across the Globe" in 2005.

The recent Nashville transplant is best known for her stylings on her CD "The Standard" hits like, "Cry Me A River", "It's Only A Paper Moon", "Going Out Of My Head" and "Sweet Dreams".
