February 24, 2019 - Moments before Nestor Torres took the stage at Collins Park for a Sunday afternoon concert in the city of Miami Beach, the Mayor and all of the commissioners of the city of Miami Beach went on to stage to announce and personally award Nestor a city of Miami Beach Proclamation making official February 24 as Nestor Torres Day.

World renowned jazz flutist Nestor Torres is a Latin Grammy® Award Winner, a four-time Latin Grammy® Nominee and a Grammy® Nominee! His most recent release Jazz Flute Traditions was nominated for a Latin Grammy® in 2018.
