Zamar Ensemble covers "Just As I Am" with extraordinary beauty
(Published: December 22, 2019)

Zamar Ensemble is a music project with a focus on creating spontaneous and one-of-a-kind music. The group set out to explore a wide variety of genres, including jazz, fusion, and more, crossing over between different styles with seamlessness and ease.

"Just As I Am," originally by J-US Ministry, one of Korea's biggest worship groups of Contemporary Christian Music (CCM), is particularly outstanding for the high quality of the production and the arrangements. However, what really stands out is the beautiful violin playing, which highlights the act's incredible passion and artistry. There is so much focus on letting the music interact with one another, creating some beautiful and timeless interplay, which set the bar higher and allow the tune to unfold beautifully, making for a more distinctive and spontaneous feel.

In other words, it almost feels like the song truly takes flight, just like the instruments having conversations and creating a form of sonic poetry, line after line. This is a graceful, balanced and beautifully achieved soundscape, and it speaks to the heart and soul of the listener. Ultimately, this song is a perfect introduction to Zamar Ensemble's work.
