Tune in to Sunday Night Jazz with host Larry Reni Thomas, on WCOM-FM, (https://wcomfm.org/) Chapel Hill-Carrboro, North Carolina, May 23, 2021, from 9:30 pm to 10 pm, for an interview of trumpeter David Weiss of The Cookers, an all-star band that is scheduled to appear, June 5, 2021, at the Spoleto Festival, in Charleston, South Carolina.

The group, which has been together for a decade, and has performed world-wide, consist of veteran master musicians: George Cables, piano, Billy Harper, tenor saxophone, Donald Harrison, alto saxophone, Billy Hart, drums. Eddie Henderson, trumpet, Cecil McBee, bass, and David Weiss, trumpet.
