Welcome back fellow travelers as we continue our journey through the Jazz Continuum . . . this leg of the journey involves a little cruise around the world in search of the perfect groove.
We start with a beautifully energizing sunrise off the Pacific Coast courtesy of some classic contemporary Jazz from Spyro Gyra . . . then we pop over to Italy to hear some brand new Latin Jazz from Gerardo Frisina . . . and continue in the Afro-Cuban vein with the Groove Collective and Baby Buddah Heads.
We continue southward to find the groove via Afro-Brazilian Bossa and Samba blends from the likes of Jazzelicious, Electro Coco and Sergio Mendes (joined by Ledesi to sing some soulful Jobim) . . . then popping over to the Middle East by way of Vienna for some eclectic jazz grooves served up in the unique style of dZihan & Kamien, followed by some French Afro-beat from the Awa Band, and a touch of Lebanese jazz blended with Parisian soul by Toufic Farroukh joined by Jeanne Added.
By this time you will probably be exhausted - so, we end our journey listening to the Brecker Brothers bring in the sunset over African Skies. It's quite a journey - so, enjoy the ride!
