Portland Jazz Festival Announces 2014 Dates - Feb 20 - March 2, 2014

Dates for the 2014 U.S. Bank Portland Jazz Festival Presented by Alaska Airlines were announced Saturday night at the Washington Park Summer Festival prior to the Carlton Jackson-Dave Mills Big Band free concert. The festival is set to take place February 20 - March 2, 2014.

The complete Jazz Festival lineup will be announced Friday, October 11 at Jimmy Mak's during Dave Douglas' performances (at 7:00 and 9:30 -- his first Portland appearance since 2010). This date will mark the beginning of the PDX Jazz pre-sale period, when PDX Jazz members can purchase Festival tickets prior to public sale, which will begin on October 21.

PDX Jazz kicks off their Fall Season at Jimmy Mak's on Monday, September 16 with the Portland debut of Philadelphia pianist, Orrin Evans featuring Eric Revis and Donald Edwards. The Dave Douglas Quintet, featuring Jon Irabagon, Bobby Avey, Linda Oh, and Rudy Royston, will perform on October 11. Louis Hayes and the Cannonball Adderley Legacy Band featuring Vincent Herring, Jeremy Pelt, Dezron Douglas and Rick Germanson are set to close the PDX Jazz Fall Season on December 11.

The 2013 Portland Jazz Festival was the most well-attended Festival to date.
