10th Anniversary Jazz Drama Program Benefit Concert honoring jazz musician and educator Bob Stewart and hosted by WQXR's Terrance McNight (Published: September 05, 2013)
The evening will feature intimate performances by Bob Stewart on tuba as well as concert pianist John Kamitsuka, violinist Sara Caswell, guitarist Tom Dempsey, JDP Artistic Director Eli Yamin and Alumnus Shantaysha Peprah, now a student at the famed Berklee College of Music. Musical selections include classic blues and songs from our hit musical Holding the Torch for Liberty, a story about women's suffrage, previews of our up-coming musical Message from Saturn, about the healing power of the blues and pieces by Bach and Prokovief.
Admission includes an open bar and hors d'oevres.
Tickets to this exclusive event are extremely limited and can be purchased for $125 online by check or Paypal. $75 of your ticket price is tax deductible.
