Patti Wicks CD Wins Italian Jazz Awards 2008

I am delighted to report that the Patti Wicks Trio CD: It's A Good Day (Geco) has won the 2008 Italian Jazz Awards for Best Jazz Album of the Year.
I'm honored to have been the first foreign artist to have won or been nominated!
Many thanks to Marla for posting about the nomination back in January, and for all of you who voted for my CD.
I just returned from another terrific two week tour performing in Italy--beautiful outdoor performance settings, incredible audiences --as usual--and, the food and the gorgeous scenery.... My two "jazz mates",who are really my extended family- bassist Giovanni Sanguineti and drummer Giovanni Gullino celebrated our 5th Anniversary performing and recording together in Italy! Geco is Giovanni Gullino's new record label, and our CD was his first release!
Needless to say, I'm looking forward to my return to Italy in November.
To say I've been blessed would be putting it mildly.
