The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust will present JAZZLIVE @ JAMES GALLERY, an evening of cocktails, craft beers, outstanding visual art, and a highly anticipated concert on May 21st at James Gallery in Pittsburgh's West End. James Gallery is an anchor in the development of the West End Village, located at 413 South Main St. Pittsburgh, PA 15220.
Tickets are $125 or $250 per person and include Festival benefits at either the Ensemble or Brass level in addition to complimentary tickets to the Ginger Baker show as well as a second ticketed performance to be announced. Support of the event also entitles guests to member benefits at the fifth annual Pittsburgh JazzLive International Festival (PJLIF) being held June 19 - 21, 2015 throughout Pittsburgh's downtown Cultural District. The three-day Festival promises the best jazz in a variety of settings: outdoor stages, ticketed special engagements, and indoor "gigs" at over 10 small venues through Pittsburgh's downtown Cultural District. This year, the festival will present artists with both international reputations-and musical origins. PJLIF attracts more than 20,000 attendees from around the country.
The evening's concert will begin at 8:00 p.m. and features special performances by Sean Jones, Geri Allen, Dwayne Dolphin and Roger Humphries.
"Our supporters have wanted to plan a special event to celebrate the success of the festival and to make new JazzLive Friends for the past few years. The beautiful setting at James Gallery, with star power like Sean Jones, Geri Allen and Roger Humphries will be the jazz event of the season," shared Janis Burley Wilson, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust's Vice President for Strategic Partnerships and Community Engagement, and Director of the Pittsburgh JazzLive International Festival.
James Frederick, owner of James Gallery shared "James Gallery is pleased to support a Festival that adds so much to the artistic and cultural landscape of our city. The gallery features a lovely courtyard and multiple exhibition spaces; it is the perfect location to celebrate Jazz with friends while getting a glimpse into the spectacular performances scheduled for this year's Festival."
