Who/What:
Eli Yamin, pianist, singer, composer and U.S. cultural ambassador performs with his quartet with Chris Byars, saxophones, Ari Roland, bass and LaFrae Sci, drums. Yamin, known worldwide as a performer and educator recently returned from the White House where he led a workshop on the blues for middle school students kicking off the White House Music Series: Jazz Studio. This came on the heels of a concert and workshop tour with Yamin's blues band in the Balkans co-sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and Jazz at Lincoln Center, on the Rhythm Road: American Music Abroad. For this engagement, the band will play music from the Eli Yamin current release You Can't Swing, featuring Eli Yamin, Chris Byars, Ari Roland and others.
