Ronnie Spector Readies First New Ronnie Spector and The Ronettes Single in Decades

‘LOVE POWER', Produced by Renowned Narada Michael Walden, is a Timely Anthem, a Call for Unity in a Divisive World - Exclusive Premiere Runs via People Magazine

Billboard Selects ‘Be My Baby' as Number One Greatest Girl Group Song of All Time

Iconic singer and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Ronnie Spector has confirmed the August 18th release of ‘LOVE POWER', a timely anthem and call for unity in a divisive world. For the new track, Ronnie Spector and The Ronettes made music together for the first time in decades, and collaborated with renowned Producer Narada Michael Walden.

People Magazine Exclusively Premiered the "funked up" track, praising, "The original Queen of Rock is back with a new single-and this time she's brought her legendary band."  Listen to the new song here:

‘LOVE POWER' coincides with the 50th Anniversary of the ‘Summer of Love' and was recorded in California last month, just prior to Spector's multiple performances in support of SF Pride. The new single will be released on all digital platforms through Walden's Tarpan Records, in association with Spector's Bad Girl Sounds. Pre-order via http://smarturl.it/lovepower

For Ronnie Spector, it's the latest highlight in a current stretch described by People Magazine as a ‘Victory Lap' for ‘The Original Rock Queen.' In addition to the ‘LOVE POWER' single release and collaboration with Emmy and multi-Grammy Award winning Walden, Spector's busy summer has included a commanding performance at Lincoln Center, her first tour dates as Ronnie Spector and The Ronettes since the 1970s, an appearance on FOX-TV's Good Day New York, and more. Billboard Magazine selected ‘Be My Baby' as their Number One Greatest Girl Group Song of All Time, and NPR included Spector's 1964 debut at #20 on their 150 Greatest Albums of the Rock Era, Made by Female Artists.

As a seminal force in Sixties Rock, Spector's swagger, moxie and trademark voice (still instantly recognizable from the first note,) defined an era. Now in her sixth decade as a performer, Spector has reached a new level of cultural significance. Critical respect is at its peak, and she continues to thrill -- inspiring and empowering a new generation of fans as an enduring, transcendent figure, who has overcome adversity to build a career that is nothing short of remarkable. Much as B.B. King came to embody the blues, or Chuck Berry was to early Rock ‘n Roll, Spector has solidified her status as the Rosetta Stone for female rock performers of today.
