H & J Quintet tastefully combine jazz and bossa nova influences on new album
(Published: August 20, 2018)

As the title of H & J Quintet's latest effort might imply, Reminisce has a nostalgic feel and a retro twist, which really sit pleasantly well with the memorable and unique vibes of this record.

However, the sound of this album is also quite contemporary, with a lot of clarity that highlights the definition of the mix, as well as marking the outstanding musical skills of these musicians.

The band tastefully combines jazz, with bossa nova and many other influences, making for a smooth, diverse, and interesting sound with that elusive "spark" that really brings a lot of excitement to their performances. The record really stays true to the natural dynamics of the performers, making for a really spontaneous and unpretentious feel that fits well with the ambiance of these sounds.
