The Saul Cosme Quintet releases an exciting portrait of their live show
(Published: November 03, 2019)

The Saul Cosme Quintet is a jazz combo with a distinctive approach and some incredible retro aesthetics to their performance. Recently, they released a brand new album, which stands out as an honest and exciting portrait of the group's live work.

The release is aptly titled Saul Cosme Quintet Live in New York and it features six songs. Each track is exciting in its own right, and every performance captures the band's instincts and technical skills. On tracks such as "How Deep Is The Ocean?" it is impossible not to appreciate the group's remarkable technical skills. On the other hand, songs such as "The Cat Walk" are just as revealing, focusing on the band's vision, and ability to set the bar higher with every release.

Ultimately, jazz music is always at its best when enjoyed live, and this album is further proof of it, depicting a band at its best, in a warm and familiar stage setting that adds more power to these wonderful recordings.
