The Lady Who Shot Lee Morgan Author on WHPK-FM 2/23/20

Larry Reni Thomas, the author of The Lady Who Shot Lee Morgan, (KHA Books) will be interviewed on "Jazz Rapp with the Impressario Al Carter-Bey," February 23, 2020, 1:15 pm (EDT) (12:15 pm, CDT) by host Al Carter-Bey. Thomas will talk about his experience with Helen Morgan, whom he interviewed in February 1996, a month before her death in March of that year. Larry will also discuss his role in I Called Him Morgan,a highly-acclaimed documentary based on the life and death of the trumpet legend Lee Morgan

Mr. Carter-Bey is a very popular and well-known radio announcer in Chicago, Illinois, who is respected as a very knowledgeable and well-versed personality. He is also noted as one who calls the music " African-American Classical Music" instead of jazz.
